Η πανέμορφη γυναικεία παραδοσιακή φορεσιά από τους Κουρκουλούς Ευβοίας παρουσιάζεται σε αυτό το βίντεο που δείχνει πως στόλιζαν τη γυναίκα με τη γιορτινή της φορεσιά! Η φορεσιά είναι παρόμοια με την φορεσιά της Αγίας Άννας μιάς και οι Κουρκουλοί ανήκουν στο ίδιο δημοτικό διαμέρισμα. Η φορεσιά αυτή μολονότι συνηθίζεται να λέγεται Αγίας Άννας δεν φοριόταν μόνο εκεί αλλά σε πάρα πολλά χωριά! Το όνομα της φορεσιάς είναι «σεραφίλια». Απολαύστε το!

The beautiful greek dress from Kourkouloi, a small village on the North of Evia Island is presented in this video which shows how the woman was dressed in her costume. The dress is similar to the Aghia Anna of Evia traditional Costume since the village Kourkouloi and Aghia Anna belong to the same municipality. The costume even if it is named that way was not used only in the Aghia Anna village but also in almost 50 villages of the North Evia and the name of the costume was «serafilia» Enjoy!

Ο Ζακόμπ Σπον (γερμ. Jacob Spon, γαλλ. Jacques Spon, 1647-1685) υπήρξε Γάλλος ιατρός και πρωτοπόρος αρχαιολόγος και ένας από τους πρώτους που μελέτησε τα ελληνικά αρχαιολογικά μνημεία. Έγραψε λεπτομερές οδοιπορικό με το όνομα Voyage d’Italie, de Dalmatie, de Grèce et du Levant που τυπώθηκε το 1679, και σε γερμανική μετάφραση το 1681 και 1690, το οποίο είναι σημαντικο τεκμήριο της ζωής της εποχής του. Στα επόμενα χρόνια κυκλοφόρησε τα συγγράμματα Histoire de la république de Genève (1680), Récherches curieuses d’antiquité (1683) και Miscellanea eruditae antiquitatis (1685).

Jacob Spon (or Jacques; in English dictionaries given as James) (Lyons 1647 – Vevey, Switzerland, 25 December 1685), a Frenchdoctor and archaeologist, was a pioneer in the exploration of the monuments of Greece and a scholar of international reputation in the developing «Republic of Letters«. Spon travelled to Italy, and then to Greece, to Constantinople and the Levant in 1675–1676 in the company of the English connoisseur and botanist Sir George Wheler (1650–1723), whose collection of antiquities was afterwards bequeathed to Oxford University. They were among the first knowledgeable Western European antiquaries to see the antiquities of Greece at first hand. Spon’s Voyage d’Italie, de Dalmatie, de Grèce et du Levant (1678) remained a useful reference work even in the time of Chateaubriand, who employed it in his trip to the East.
